Goa’s famous beaches skip no itinerary and for good reason. The golden sands, the rhythmic crashing of the waves and the breathtaking hues in the sky, all create an awe-inspiring ambience.
But, it's not just the view, it’s the experience of enjoying refreshing drinks and unique, unforgettable flavours right by the beach that make the State’s shores so unmissable.
One such corner in Morjim, where the beauty of the coastline meets culinary excellence, is the recently opened Farzi Beach, at Mayfair on the Sea.
With dishes that redefine modern Indian cuisine, the restaurant offers a unique escape with its 2,000 sq ft space that features a vast beachside view, a private beach, a poolside vista and a spacious deck.
Bringing his venture to the shores of Goa, Zorawar Kalra, founder and managing director of Massive Restaurants Pvt Ltd shares that with Farzi Beach, they’ve created a unique dining experience that blends Goa’s laid-back vibe with their signature twist on traditional Indian cuisine.
“It’s about offering something new while staying connected to the roots, all set against the beautiful backdrop of Goa’s beaches,” he says.
As you step inside Farzi Beach, little details capture your attention. The soft beige and white stands out beautifully against the wooden flooring, while the blue glasses placed on the tables adds a pop of colour, blending with the overall earthy tones of the space.
A statement light fixture in the centre casts a warm glow that sets the perfect mood, especially in the evenings. The wooden seats, low and instantly comfortable, the wavy-shaped curtain overhead and the glistening pool behind the bar, all add to the serene and inviting ambience.
Located within the Mayfair on Sea resort, the restaurant handles all varieties of food and drinks, offering guests a fantastic dining experience from breakfast to late-night orders.
At the restaurant, every dish is infused with a twist or has a ‘Farzi flair’. The menu features Farzified Tempura Prawns, crispy prawns tossed in a spicy tangy sauce with a refreshing lemon-chilli foam, Daal Chawal Arancini, a classic Farzi dish with fried lentil and rice dumplings, served with pickled mayo, papad, and tomato salsa.
There’s also the Maharashtrian favourite Farzified Vada Pav, a must-try Guntur Chilli Chicken bringing the bold flavours of Andhra-style chillies, curry leaves, and garlic and Boti Kebab, made with marinated mutton chunks, served with a mint paratha.
There are vegetarian options at the restaurant, like the vegan spin on the classic Lucknowi Kebab.
For the perfect sweet ending, Farzi Beach also offers Ras Malai Tres Leches and the soft Coconut Malai Sandwich, soaked in coconut and kaffir lime milk, a real treat.
The space is also perfect for enjoying sundowners with refreshing drinks like Chuski Margarita, The Goan Mule, The Kokum Collins, and the Coffee House Cocktail.
So, if you’re planning a visit to Morjim shores or heading in that direction, drop by Farzi Beach and add a little bit more to that beach experience by savouring some good food and sipping some refreshing drinks.
