THE GREAT GOAN CASHEW ROAST
Olenga Naturally presents 'The Great Goan Cashew Roast' on April 21, 2024 at Salvador do Mundo, Bardez, where participants can learn all about the cashew fruit as get to roast cashewnuts on an open fire.
The event, curated by Siqueira and Shilpa, will also include talks on 'Learn to grow and care for fruit trees', 'Monsoon preparedness for your garden' and 'Uses of cashew fruit'.
Participants will also get a welcome drink of cashew squash.

CELEBRATING EARTH DAY WITH BIRDS
On the occasion of Earth Day, Early Bird has organised bird walks across India that will be led by naturalists. These walks will be held in Agartala, Mysore, Goa, Kolkata, Salem, Srinagar, Tirupati and New Delhi on April 21, 2024.
In Goa, the walk at Carambolim Lake is being organised in association with Arannya Environment Research Organisation.
These walks are designed for children between 10 and 13 years of age, and go beyond mere identification of birds.
They will include topics such as bird habitat, behaviour and lifecycles, as well as include games and activities for children to provide them a holistic understanding of birds.
The children will be guided by naturalists throughout the walk.
BEHIND THE SCENES
Arannya Environment Research Organisation is a non-profit body based in Goa, that focuses on environment education, biodiversity research and community engagement.
The walks are supported by the Oriental Bird Club, which is a group for birders and ornithologists around the world, who are interested in birds of the Oriental region and their conservation.
