A staple of Goan cuisine, rice is an everyday essential and at the Rice Bowl Festival, each bowl is a tribute to the grain that connects cultures across the globe. Here you will discover flavourful rice creations from Lebanon, Africa, Jamaica, Taiwan and Japan, each telling its own unique culinary story.

From Omu Rice — a Japanese comfort dish featuring a soft, custard-like omelette draped over flavourful fried rice — to the Sayadieh Rice Bowl from Lebanon, served with grilled fish, tahini, fattoush, fried onions, and almonds, to the hearty Burrito Rice Bowl — the menu offers a delightful world tour through rice-based dishes.

The festival is currently underway and has delicious rice preparations on offer up to June 1, 2025.

In all, you can savour nearly a dozen globally-inspired rice bowls, each made for comfort and taste.

Vegetarians are in for a treat too, with two standout dishes on the menu —Buddha Vegan Rice Bowl, a mix of Szechuan Mapo tofu, beans, boiled peanuts, pickled carrots and cucumber served over jasmine rice; and the Vegetable Salona Rice Bowl, a hearty Middle Eastern-style stew infused with aromatic spices, served with perfectly steamed rice.
