In a compassionate initiative to support the fight against cancer, The Shop, a chic design house in Panjim, is organising 'Chai for Cancer,' a fundraiser event aimed at drumming up awareness and support for cancer survivors.
World Cancer Day is celebrated every year on February 4, creating awareness about the disease and encouraging timely detention, prevention and treatment.
The Shop has pledged to donate a substantial 20 percent of all sales generated during the fundraiser event to a prominent cancer foundation, Friends of Max, which is based out of Mumbai, but has a nationwide presence, demonstrating a commitment beyond commerce.
The cosy ambience of The Shop, located in Rua de Ourem, will play host to an evening filled with compassion, camaraderie and chai.
“Cancer is a battle that hits close to home for many and we want to do our part in making a meaningful impact. The ‘Chai for Cancer’ event is a way for us to bring the community together over a cup of tea while contributing to a cause that affects so many lives,” said Kabir Singh, Director, The Shop.
