Water-soaked forests, muddy trails, and the monsoon-drenched wilderness of Goa are gearing up to welcome the Rainforest Challenge (RFC) India, which, in its 11th edition, promises to be bigger, bolder and tougher than ever before.

Off-roaders from across the country will gather on Goa’s rugged terrain to test their driving skills, vehicle capabilities, and endurance — all for a shot at being crowned the ultimate off-road champion of India.

Cougar Motorsport, the official Indian representative of the RFC Global Series, has elevated RFC India into what is now considered the toughest, longest, and most prestigious off-road driving competition in the country. The overall winner earns a coveted spot at the Global RFC Grand Finals in Malaysia.

The 10th edition, in 2024, witnessed a record 41 teams, including women participants. It concluded with a high, as Team Colossus (Dr Mohammed Fahed and co-driver Rajeev Lal) emerged champions, bouncing back after securing third place in 2023.

This year, two new categories — 4x4 Stock and 4x4 Modified — will join the existing 4x4 Extreme category, making the competition more inclusive for the broader off-roading community.

Scheduled to take place from from July 28 to August 3, 2025, the 11th edition promises to be more exhilarating than ever. This year, two new categories — 4x4 Stock and 4x4 Modified — will join the existing 4x4 Extreme category, making the competition more inclusive for the broader off-roading community.

As of now, over 60 teams have registered out of the 75 available slots since registrations opened in March 2025. Entry fees range from Rs 40,000 to Rs 90,000 depending on the category.
