Digambar Kamat slams BJP, says 'BJP is only fooling people'

Leader of opposition and Margao MLA Digambar Kamat on Thursday, December 23, criticised the Bhartiya Janata Party's 10-year 'report card' and said 21 corruption cases were filed by Goa Lokayukta during the tenure of the BJP government.

While speaking to a media person, Kamat slammed the BJP government on several issues. "When BJP government were chanting 'Tali bajav, thali bajav, diya jalav', nearly 200 patients died due to lack of oxygen," Kamat said.

Digambar Kamat alleged that the government is failing to provide proper financial assistance to the relatives of the patients, who lost their lives due to the government's negligence.

The BJP, which bragged about Digital India, failed badly to provide students in Goa with reliable internet access. "BJP is only trying to fool people by engaging in politics," he said.

Digambar Kamat also expressed his firm belief that the Congress party will form the next government in Goa.
