Director General of Police Goa Jaspal Singh (IPS) tweeted, "What bravado lies in not wearing Helmet. Is there any pride in violation of Law? None. Human Skulls are not metallic. Helmets are. So wear them if you love your kinsmen".

The main motive behind this tweet is to make people realise that it is wise to wear a helmet for their own safety and that their skulls are vulnerable to the impact of an accident.

She further said that it is important to wear safety gear like a helmet without doubt but, at the same time, the traffic police should put an emphasis on imposing fines on overspeeding vehicles on the road.
