Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to inaugurate the India Energy Week 2024, lay the foundation stone for development projects and to inaugurate the permanent campus of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) at Cuncolim today, Tuesday (February 6).

To make things easy for people during the high visit of the PM and ensure smooth flow flow of traffic, the Goa traffic police have laid out a plan for the day.

BOARDING A FLIGHT? TAKE THESE ROUTES

If you are boarding your flight from the Goa International Airport, Dabolim, here are some routes that can be opted. Those traveling from North Goa take the Agassaim-Zuari Bridge-Cortalim Junction- NH-366-St Jacinto Island –Chicalim Junction-Airport junction-Grade separator route to the airport.

From Margao/Ponda, these are the routes to take to avoid getting stuck in traffic: Eastern Bypass-Arlem Circle-SH-5 Raia-Borim Tolnaka-Rassaim- Thana Cortalim- Cortalim Junction - NH-366- St. Jacinto Island - Chicalim Junction-Airport junction-Grade separator-Airport.

ALTERNATE ROUTES FROM SOUTH TO NORTH AND BACK

The routes from Vasco to Panjim are: Chicalim Junction-NH-366-St Jacinto Island -Cortalim-up ramp of the new Zuari Bridge. For those travelling from Margao to Panjim will have to opt from Eastern Bypass-Arlem Circle-SH-5 Raia –Borim-Tolnaka -Rassaim-Thana Cortalim-Cortalim Junction–take the ramp up to the new Zuari Bridge Panjim.

AVOID THESE ROUTES FROM 10 am to 7 pm

With beefed up security for the arrival of PM Modi, the traffic flow will be affected on the following roads during the meeting at KTC bus stand in Fatorda.

New NIT campus in Goa to give impetus to State's edu prowess

Routes from INS Hansa towards Birla cross - Birla cross junction towards KTC Margao, leading from Kesarval Hotel towards Seraulim Junction (Western Bypass). The wholesale fish market in Seraulim towards the old-market-circle must be avoided.

The Old-market circle towards - Dambab circle- Fatorda and the four-road-junction in Arlem will be closed for traffic. The roads from Ambaji Junction towards Padre Pedru Ferrao road till Fatorda four-road junction and towards Old Market in Margao will be closed for traffic.

TRAFFIC CIRCULATION WITHIN THE MARGAO CITY

Want to move around in the city, these are some routes to follow.

Colva to Margao city: Take the Colva-Madel-Ring Road- towards Railway gate Comba Municipal Garden and enter the city.

Fatorda to Margao city: The Murida-Agali-Borda towards Holy Spirit Church leading to Old Hospicio to the city.

Nuvem to Margao city: Take the Nuvem-Goa Rajee-Arlem-Bolshe-Borda Holy Spirit -Old Hospicio-road which leads to the Margao city and Nuvem- Seraulim Junction - Underpass- Railway Gate Seraulim - Odet’s Hotel- Ring Road- to enter Margao city.

North Goa to KTC: (Buses) NH-66-Nuvem-District Hospital -alighting point at Ambaji- (Alighting point) parking at Presentation School Ground.

South to KTC: (Buses) Arlem-Margao city -Old Market (Alighting point) parking at designated parking lots.
