Zuarinagar residents staged a protest on the main road over water shortage

The residents of Zuarinagar Birla Housing Colony in Sancoale on Wednesday staged a roadblock and called for the upcoming elections boycott over water crises in the area.
The resident sat in protest at the main road in front of Birla Minar Mosque and staged a 'Rasta Rocco' agitation for about an hour and a half.
Many parts of the area are experiencing water shortages, and residents are fed up with errant water supply.
People claim that the local MLA ministers are merely issuing rounds of guarantees.
Citizens alleged that the free water scheme announced by the government has turned out to be a hoax as they still have to pay exorbitant bills to the authorites and still face irregular water supply.

Later engineers of Public Works Water Department were called to the spot, then the police took the engineer Naresh Painginkar, the technical engineer Mohan Naik, the main resident of the agitators aside and gave detailed information to the engineer.
The residents warned that they will boycott the forthcoming assembly elections, if the water issue is not resolved in the next two days.
