How did Gerard gather the materials for the museum? He said, “Over the last few years, many traditional houses in Goa have been demolished. I used to buy materials from these demolition sites and incorporate them into my architectural designs, as well as add some to the museum.”

The museum’s exterior design is as intriguing as its interior. Built on a traffic island in Torda, Salvador do Mundo, the museum’s structure is triangular and resembles the shape of a ship.
