Heliconia at JW Marriott Goa is set to host an exclusive two-day culinary pop-up, blending the bold flavours of Indonesia with the refined elegance of Japanese cuisine.

Taking place on June 6 and 7, this special dining experience is curated by Indonesian Master Chef Saiful Agam from East – The Asian Living Room at JW Marriott Bengaluru Prestige Golfshire Resort & Spa.

The celebration will conclude with a grand showcase at JW Kitchen’s Sunday brunch on June 8, offering guests a unique opportunity to savour Asia’s most iconic dishes in an immersive, fine-dining setting.

THOUGHTFULLY CURATED

Over two intimate evenings, guests can indulge in a thoughtfully curated multi-course experience featuring both the refined elegance of Japanese cuisine and the bold, soulful richness of Indonesian fare.

Highlights from the menu include Gohu Ikan, a vibrant North Sulawesi-style tuna tartare layered with lemongrass, kaffir lime, and candlenut — a refreshing, zesty start to the evening.

The Chicken Satay Lilit, a Balinese-inspired dish of minced chicken skewers served with house-made sambal matah and peanut crumble, captures the heart of Indonesian street food elevated to fine-dining finesse.

PURE INDULGENCE

The menu continues with indulgent dishes such as Rendang Daging, a slow-cooked beef preparation rich with caramelised coconut and a bold spice paste — Chef Saiful’s signature interpretation of one of Indonesia’s most beloved dishes.

From the Japanese selections, guests will enjoy the crisp and delicate Ebi Tempura Maki, with tempura prawns, wasabi mayo and a sweet soy glaze, and the exquisite Gindara Saikyo Yaki, featuring black cod marinated in sweet white miso, perfectly grilled

Another highlight of the evening is the Chawanmushi with Prawn and Ikura — a silken, savoury Japanese egg custard, elevated with delicate prawn and soy-marinated salmon roe.

END ON A SWEET NOTE

The last course, a sweet ending, has Chef Saiful reimagining tradition with the Klepon Cheesecake, a playful tribute to the beloved Indonesian rice cake, infused with pandan and finished with molten palm sugar.

With each dish, Chef Saiful invites guests to rediscover the culinary soul of Asia — through stories, spice, and a sense of place. Enhanced by Heliconia’s elegant setting and JW Marriott Goa’s warm hospitality, this gastronomic experience promises to be a standout on the season’s culinary calendar.
