SWEET CHOICES
Want to try something unique? Cafe Morango in Panjim offers delicious centre-filled Easter eggs with fillings of mint, caramel, roasted almond, fruit and nut, available in two sizes.
“The chocolate we use is premium quality. Besides the favourites, there are liqueur eggs in Irish Cream and Rum and Raisin to add a boost twist to Easter which is about celebrating in style,” says Vanesa Da Costa Campos, owner of Cafe Morango.
She recalls her younger days when breaking an Easter egg was fun, and the real treat was discovering the surprise chocolates inside. “I felt the need to bring those memories back for ourselves and our kids to show them the simple ways in which we enjoyed Easter eggs,” she smiles. Cafe Morango also offers traditional marzipan eggs.

EASTER EGG SPECTRUM
At Golden Chantilly, you’ll be transported to the timeless classic – marzipan. “We craft our products using almonds, the original ingredient, rather than the more commonly used cashew. This makes all the difference,” says Ericka.
Almonds lend a rich and distinct flavour that’s nostalgic and undeniably elegant. Looking for eggless and gluten-free options? Golden Chantilly has got you covered.
“We use only couverture chocolate. I’ve been a long-time fan of its richness, smooth texture and the magic of cocoa butter that gives it that unmistakable melt-in-your-mouth feel,” says Ericka
“You won’t find artificial colours or bottled sugary elements in our creations. For us, decoration isn’t just about appearance — it must add meaning, beauty, and above all, real flavour,” she emphasises.

HONORING THE PAST, EMBRACING THE NEW
Being practical is what Pastry Chef Pratik Roy believes in. “This time, Easter is in April, and as a result, the heat has increased. We realised that we need to be bit mindful of our Easter egg creations and do things, which not only have a visual appeal, but will reach home safe!” says Roy.
Hence, he and his team have planned and designed Easter eggs in a unique manner.
For the filling, the Easter eggs contain chocolate truffle, roasted almond rochers/rocks, rich choco-cake poppers, mini choc eggs and marshmallows.
Their Easter eggs come in all three variants of chocolate – dark, milk and white. Besides that, they have a the Simnel cake on their menu. It is a rich nutty cake with an apricot jam glaze and marzipan. It has 11 marzipan eggs on the top – depicting the 11 apostles.
