From pests to fruits, here are 2 events that garden-lovers can attend this April in Goa.

CROP/GARDEN PEST CONTROL AND MANAGEMENT

Anyone who is into gardening will know that it’s an enjoyable pastime … that is, until your beautiful plants are struck by pests, which not only damage plants, but even destroy them completely, if they are not stopped in time.

When that happens, most people feel helpless as they watch their healthy plants wither and die. However, if you are armed with a bit of knowledge about pests, you might have a fighting chance to salvage your garden.

Participants will learn to identify and control infection from various pests that attack plantation crops and backyard gardens, damaging fruits, vegetables and ornamental plants.

Some of the common pests which will be covered are rhinoceros beetles, fruit flies etc, which destroy fruits such as mangoes, cashews and even entire coconut trees.

The workshop will be led by Allwyn Siqueira, while organic solutions will be provided by Barrix Agro Sciences Pvt Ltd, Bangalore.
