Goa’s beaches are your perfect sunset points

1. QUERIM BEACH

Located in the extreme North of Goa, this beach is known for its sunny, sandy beach and tranquil setting. This secluded beach, also known as Keri by the locals, in comparison to other beaches in the North has just a few shacks and stalls as well as few visitors.

If you are looking to add some heritage experience to your trip while you are in Querim, you have to visit the Temple of Ajoba, especially in the month of February when the temple celebrates the zatra, and you will see many devotees flocking there.

2. TIRACOL FORT

Located just across the Terekhol River and a short distance from Querim Beach, the historic Tiracol Fort is a must visit. To reach this stunning fort, perched on a hill, all you have to do is take a ferry ride that offers a beautiful view of the river and the shores.

Originally built in the 17th century, the fort has been converted into a hotel. Yet its charm and historical beauty remain intact, with only minor renovations.

The hotel features four suites, each offering breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea. Inside the fort, the Chapel of the Holy Trinity was later renamed Chapel of St Anthony. While Mass is held every Sunday at 9 am, the chapel is closed on other days to the public. However, visitors can admire the fort's stunning architecture and the chapel's exterior.
