2. CASANONI, PANJIM
Next up is Casanoni, a beautiful Italian restaurant housed in a restored Indo-Portuguese house in Fontainhas. With soft, Italian music playing in the background, elegant interiors, thoughtfully chosen art and some stylish cutlery, stepping inside the restaurant transports you to the streets of Italy.
But, what really stands out is the authenticity on the plate. From appetisers, like Carpaccio, bruschetta, Bone Marrow with Ciabatta to mains like Duck Ragout with Truffle Essence, this space serves some really good Italian dishes.
There’s also variety when it comes to woodfired pizzas, making it exactly like they’re meant to be, simple and not overloaded.

3. LA FETTA, PATNEM
Not far from Patnem beach, in Goa’s southernmost Canacona, La Fetta, a restaurant and bakery, has been serving delicious Italian cuisine since the winter of 2021.
Born out of the need for a true Italian eatery in the area, the restaurant takes pride in making everything from scratch, be it their breads, pastas or sauces.
The restaurant’s aesthetics embrace a garden-core vibe. You literally dine surrounded by a variety of plants, from common favourites such as areca palm and bougainvillea to rare monstera and philodendrons.
When it comes to food, everything is fresh and rooted in traditional Italian recipes. Some standouts on the menu include lasagna, Pappardelle Pasta and Fettuccine Pasta, ravioli and their wood-fired pizzas.
