Well, that is what intrigued CID stars, Dayanand Shetty and Aditya Srivastava, who recently visited Loutolim’s Big Foot museum, where they visited the bygone era of Goan culture, history, occupations and traditions.

Here, they also understood facets of the artefacts in the Goan house, from the garrafao to the earthen pot to the interior of the houses and much more.

Dayanand (Inspector Daya) chatting with Gomantak Times Digital said, “Our line producer advised us to visit Big Foot and truly, I enjoyed the trip."

"People should know about Goan culture and explore this aspect, too.” He was also amazed by the artefacts that the Alvares house contained.

“When we visited the house and took a tour there, we realised that there are items which are centuries old, like the pots, music system and tables among others,” says Dayanand.

He, along with Aditya Srivastava, or Inspector Abhijeet, are working on a series called Safarkhana, where Big Foot will be featured.

To this, Aditya said, “Safarkhana is a travel show, where we feature places focusing on food, lifestyle and culture. And what we experienced at Big Foot really made me wonder what Goa is all about."

"When you think of Goa, all you think is mauj aur masti, and somewhere along the way, we are forgetting our traditions. This place showed me the reflection of what Goa is. It was more of an educational tour for me,” said Aditya as he smiled.

While Adrial Alvares, of Big Foot was guiding the CID cast around the house, they had a few light moments where they exchanged a few favourite CID dialogues like ‘Darwaza Math Tod Do, Daya’ (Don’t break the door, Daya) among many more.

Maendra Alvares who hosted the actors said, “Hosting Aditya and Dayanand was a true honour for us. To experience Goa at its finest is to understand the roots of Goan culture."

"We have tried to emulate everything local in every aspect of the museum, giving the viewer a chance to experience the Goan way of life. We try to give the guests a holistic experience, where you get Goa in a nutshell.”
