Get ready, Goa! One of the state’s most beloved monsoon traditions is back — Rotary Rain Run Goa 2025 is set to return for its 11th edition on July 27, and registrations are officially open.

Whether you're a seasoned marathoner or simply want to walk in the rain for a cause, this is your chance to be part of something truly special.

Organised annually by the Rotary Club of Porvorim, the Rotary Rain Run has become a staple of Goa’s monsoon calendar. Set against the backdrop of lush greenery and dramatic skies, this event blends fitness, fun, and philanthropy in equal measure.

The run raises crucial funds to support initiatives in women’s health, education, and environmental awareness.

Participants can register in any of the four categories: 2 km Fun Walk – perfect for families and first-timers; 5 km Dream Run – for those who want a taste of the race-day energy; 10 km Timed Run – a challenge for regular runners and 21 km Timed Half Marathon – the crown jewel for distance enthusiasts.

The deadline for registration is July 20, and the event is expected to draw participants from across the country, from enthusiastic newcomers to seasoned athletes.

The run will begin at the SAG Athletics Stadium in Bambolim, with the 21 km route extending to the Miramar Circle. Runners will pass through some of Goa’s most scenic coastal stretches, including Dona Paula, offering refreshing sea breezes, gentle drizzle, and the natural beauty of the monsoon-washed landscape.

“We are excited to announce that registrations have opened for the upcoming Rotary Rain Run Goa 2025. We’re overwhelmed by the interest shown each year and hope this edition sees even more people join in — rain or shine. This isn’t just a run, it’s a movement,” said Avinash Singh Parmar, Chairman and spokesperson for the event.

Now recognised by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) and World Athletics, the Rotary Rain Run has grown from a humble local fundraiser in 2015 into one of India’s largest monsoon marathons.

The funds raised through the event have supported hundreds of educational scholarships, medical health camps, and awareness campaigns over the years.

So, whether you run, walk, or cheer from the sidelines, this is your opportunity to be a part of something meaningful while soaking in the monsoon magic of Goa.
